Welcome To RCET,Gujranwala

Situated at the hub of the Engineering industries of the country, Rachna College derives its name from the lands stretching between the rivers, the Ravi and the Chenab.

The Campus of Rachna College of Engineering & Technology,Gujranwala is speard over an area of about 74 acres, surrounded by a canal on the south and lush agricultural land on the remaining three sides.  The College is located on the left bank of Nokhar Branch Canal about seven kilometers off (East) G.T. Road, between Gakhar and Wazirabad.

The College was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. (R) Khalid Maqbool Governor of Punjab on 15th January, 2003, with the induction of the first batch of 105 students for B.Sc.  In Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering.  The College has also started the B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Computer Science Department sice October, 2008.

Moving a step forward, College is now offering Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from 2009.

  • The Vice-Chancellor has been pleased to nominate Prof. Dr. Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan Principal RCET,Gujranwala for civil award to be awarded on 14th August, 2010.

  • His Excellency the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani announced and performed the upgradation of Rachna College into Racha University of Engineering & Technology Gujranwala on 27-03-2010.

  • Prime Minister announced supply of Sui gas to Rachna University of Engineering & Technology, Gujranwala and surrounding area on 27-03-10.

  • RCET will publish its first Magazine titled " Innovations " .

  • The students' of Rachna College bagged second position in all Pakistan Electronics Exhibition & Competition (APEEC) held in UET, Lahore on 10th & 11th May, 2010.
